This year, the industry is expecting the big comeback of the world’s leading trade fair interzum in Cologne. As the most important trade fair for suppliers to the furnishing industry, the successful trade fair format has been honoring groundbreaking products from exhibitors for many years with the interzum Award. In 2023, Katrin de Louw was part of the top-class international panel.
“I am pleased that there were so many submissions to judge,” says Katrin de Louw about the meetings of the experts. “This is not a matter of course after the pandemic and in times of a European war including supply difficulties. But it shows that the industry is facing the challenges and looking ahead.”
The submitted products were discussed by an international and renowned jury under the aspects: Degree of innovation, functionality, material quality, design, sustainability, digitalization, neo-ecology discussed and finally evaluated. Among them then also the awarding of the “Best of the Best” – Awards.
Other jury colleagues this year were: Dr. Luisa Bocchietto, Frederik Lauwaert, Kristina Meyer, Vito Orazem, Dr. Sascha Peters and Prof. Martin Stosch.
