For years now, TRENDFILTER has been campaigning for more sustainability for furniture and materials. For this reason, we are particularly pleased that Katrin is now part of the jury of the Green Product Award and the Green Concept Award.
“It is of course a demanding task with responsibility. I’m well aware that as a juror, you have to make an effort to get to grips with the concepts and products. This is the only way we have a chance of doing justice to everyone and recognizing greenwashing. Sometimes we had to ask the applicants to provide us with all the information we needed for an evaluation,” says Katrin de Louw about her work during the evaluation phase.
The Green Product Award and the Green Concept Award annually showcase an international collection of today’s best sustainable products and concepts. But there is also an exciting annual public vote for the best product and the best concept. This had a staggering 52,000 votes in 2022. But the jurors* of the Green Product and the Green Concept Award also offer themselves as mentors to the innovative startups that participate in this award. “It’s a pleasure to be able to help young and motivated founders who have sustainability in focus and answers for the future,” says Katrin and continues, “And when it comes specifically to materials, equipment and furniture, we can certainly create good contacts and help build a foundation.”
